3 Easy Ways to Shape Successful Teamwork.

Over the years, I have quickly learned the importance of building a skilled and cohesive team of employees that can work together to achieve common goals. It requires consistent and focused dedication to shape successful teamwork and with a mix of personalities it can be challenging at times. Yet when a team comes in to play with a commitment to each other, as well as to the company, to win, there is nothing more valuable to the success of your business.

3 Easy Ways to Inspire and Create a Winning Team

1. Organize Team Building Sport Events
As an avid sports fan, I understand that there are many aspects of team sports that can be applied to team building. In many ways, employees work together just like athletes. Specifically, every employee has an important role that they serve, and when they do not take their responsibilities seriously, other staff members can suffer as a result. Sports team-building activities bring employees together in a fun yet competitive environment that helps them to better understand the importance of working together as a true team. In addition, playing a nice game once a month or so can serve as a great stress reliever and encourage employees to get to know one another on a personal level. In most cases, a person is more likely to support a coworker who is also a friend than one who is merely a stranger.

2. Build a Company Culture on "We"
It's tough at the top if you don't have a team behind you. An environment where business owners and managers communicate using "we" sets the tone from the top down that the company cares and recognizes the importance of every person's role and contribution to the growth and success of the business. This gives employees an inherent feeling of being a "valued part of the whole" in the development of the company.

3. Keep Open Lines of Communication
Encourage employees to ask questions. Encourage creative thinking and sharing of ideas. The truth is that many workers are afraid to ask for further instruction because they do not want to admit that they do not understand what is required of them. By creating a safe zone where employees can ask anything of anyone in the company at any level provides the supportive environment where team members can open up and shine; and the company can win from maximizing the full potential of their team.
